I’m on a ROLL tonight. To wash out the bad taste of some obnoxious douchey comments I was getting on DA, as well as the bad news that the Blue Ranger quite due to homophobic comments, I wanted to draw one more thing to end the night- er, morning- on a happy note:
i didn’t know you were a lesbian. “omg! i’m never reading your comic or watching you on DA ever again!” is what i would say if i was a religious homophobe. luckily i’m not, and life is much more fun (yay premarital secks? tmi, sorry). good on you for sticking up for yourself. that guy was a douche. what the heck was his problem? anyway, thanks for the cute Sofie art, looking forward to more of her 8D

I just watched the interview and the very last one almost made me cry. I’m going to send this to most people I know even if most are supporters of the LGBT community because I hope they’ll send it to someone who’s not and maybe it’ll make some sort of difference.
I like the warmth expressed in the drawing. The last then we want when we’re in a royal snit about something is for someone to break the mood by being nice to us.

Besides Green Ranger, David Yost/Billy/Blue Ranger, was also one of my favorite Rangers. I was always able to relate to him because I was the nerdy kid that was made fun of. Granted I was not a super scientist like his character but could always relate to the character none the less. I watched that 3 part interview just a few days ago on henshinjustice.com, and at the end of the interview I was suprised to learn that David Yost was in fact gay, but that didn’t change my opinion of him or make me dislike him. I just felt really bad for the hardships he had to endure because no one should have to go through what he did when they are unsure about their feelings or sexuality. I still love the guy! He will still always be one of my favorite Rangers! TRICERATOPS!!!! lol! Some people can just be so flipping ignorant.
On a positive note about the comments, at least I gived a surprise conga? : D GLBT Makes a grander BLT anyway I sez! (Herp derp, I made a sammich joke)
I didn’t watch all of the interview, but I was a little surprised to learn that he was gay. I remember when I was a regular on alt.fan.power-rangers, and supposedly, there were rumors about one of the actors being gay, but it wasn’t David Yost. It was Steve Cardenas (Rocky), and any time it was mentioned, it was usually quickly followed by comments that essentially said, “No, he’s not gay.” I have to wonder if the rumors about Steve were started as a way of deflecting anything being mentioned about David.
If so, that’s a huge thing for a guy to do or be done to him. With the internet as the place where rumors never die, that’ll haunt him for years to come.
Talk about taking one for the team…
