I used that sketch as a cover idea after all. I was very rushed on this, so I kind of want to redo it with proper highlights and shadows. I’ve done some sweet underwater scenes before (practices for a scene in Sister Claire, actually!) so I know I can do better. For a plot bunny illustration, though, it’s not too bad. And I still totally love this idea. I’d like to do a comic of it, even if it’s just a short one-shot. XD
Oh my goodness, Ursula is so cute! She looks so proud to swim with her sister! She strikes me as the happiest merangutan ever, even if she is a bit on the clumsy side. (Can you be a clumsy mermaid?) It’s not her fault if she’s not the smartest…
