And thus concludes this chapter! Man, I love doing these psychadelic pages, but I sure won’t be missing the crowd scenes! PHEW. On to chapter 6!

I had SO much fun with the colors in this scene. Get ready for the GRAND FINALE COLOR-SPLOSION!! For those interested, Gloria in Excelsis Deo is a real song. Read more about it (and the lyric’s meaning) here! And if you want to see a slightly larger, textless version, you only need CLICK HERE. =D
For those people who have been asking about the song, you can listen to the original Latin version here.
Not to be confused with the Christmas song, Angels We Have Heard On High, although that song does have a chorus that repeats “GloooOOoOoOoOrai, in Excelsis Deo!” (Latin for “Glory to God in the highest”) The phrase is actually pretty common in Catholic hymns.
I think this page has my favorite colors of any other page! This chapter is almost over- soon we’ll be seeing what’s been going on with Sister Cat, for those who have been wondering.
I got so sad drawing that middle panel of Claire! Even after being chosed by G.O.D., she can’t fight the self-defeating nature ingrained in her. Hopefully Gabrielle can do something about it.
P.S. Ok, screw what I said on the last page about the light source, I was delusional and forgot about this one in between. It was just… a flash of light from somewhere in the club. Yeah. D:
Gabrielle displays her pink bubbles – er, charm- again. Surely there must be a scientific explanation for this. And there will be! Just not on this page. And look! Lighting change in the last panel! Could it be that they are heading to a NEW ENVIRONMENT?! Ooooh foreshadowing done with LIGHT is the best kind of shadowing! (I should not write these descriptions at 4am!)
THE LONG AWAITED UPDATE IS HERE! I was thinking of saving it till Monday, but we’ve all been waiting long enough! To refresh on what was happening on the last page, click here!
Claire is still hopped up on Holy Spirit, which seems to make her forget to be scared. And unintentionally pick fights with scary mermaids.
I’ll try to get the next page up by Monday in order to stay on schedule, but I might not be able to manage it. I’LL DO MY BEST! =D
Already on page 90! WHOO!
I forgot to mention this (BAD YAMINO) but exactly a week ago was Sister Claire’s 1 year anniversary! On December 1, 2008, I posted my first page. Of course, the comic itself was in the works for at least a year before that. Still, it’s a big milestone!
Thanks for everyone who’s stuck by me all this time, and for the new readers who have just gotten into the story! I’m looking forward to the years to come. <3
