I loved this comic strip, reminds me so much of the mermaids in Peter Pan when they tried to drown Wendy, “We were only trying to drown her…”, brilliant^^.
Getting drowned by mermaids? That can’t be good for the baby… although I guess it’s not just ANY baby. lol
Claire is lucky to have Gabrielle around. =P
“I don’t like catfish anymore!”
See this is what Sister Marguerite should of done to get Claire away from cats. Give her plenty of holy water and then throw her in a room full of aggravated cats. That might of avoided this whole adventure.
But then where’s all the fun in that cept seeing Claire cringe from the sight of a cat.
mmm love the page Yamino.
and as tipsy as Claire is i think she’ll still love cat fish :3
also yay for using mermaids REAL desire (not the cartoon kid version of what they do) Real ones kileld ppl!
‘Mermaids, how sweet!’
‘They’ll sweetly drown you.’
Lines from the new live-action Peter Pan movie. XD Claire, that is what mermaids DO…but I suppose we can’t fault you. You live in a convent. Plus, you’re just TOO adorable! *hugs Claire*
According to the original folklore, mermaids were hideous man-eating hags with needle-like teeth, long sharp claws, and the slimy lower body of a fish, but they could take the form of a beautiful maiden with shining green or rainbow-scaled tails in order to more easily seduce sailors. In some British stories, they can be up to 2000 meters long. Like sirens, mermaids would sometimes sing to people and enchant them, distracting them from their work and causing them to walk off the deck or run their ships aground. Other stories have them squeezing the life out of drowning men after storms or shipwrecks. They’re also said to take captive humans down to their underwater kingdoms. In Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid”, it’s said that they forget that humans can’t breathe underwater, while others say they deliberately drown men out of spite. Men drowned by mermaids are eaten, while women become mermaids themselves.
Unfortunately, all people know about mermaids these days comes from Disney movies, so very few people anymore know that mermaids are not at all nice.

Totally unrelated to this comic but I do not know how else to contact you! Thus I hope you read all your comments like a good webcomic artist.
I think you’d like this video. It’s a Lady Gaga parody:
