First of all, THANK YOU ALL for all your well-wishes! I was overwhelmed with emails and Twitter messages and comments with suggestions for how to help my wrist and get-well-soon messages. It really means a lot to me! =) I hope I managed to reply back personally to every email, but if I didn’t, it’s probably because I had to take a break from typing (it tires my wrists more than drawing.)
My wrist/arm is still feeling a bit tired, but I’m going to attempt to keep updating Sister Claire on schedule, with NO other drawing in the meantime. Let’s see how this goes. If I start to feel like it’s getting worse, I’ll take another break, but I really really want to get back to drawing. T_T I’m looking forward to the next chapter as much as you are! (And Gabrielle is kind of a prima donna and won’t forgive me for postponing her scene much longer.)
By the way, I was thinking of making some video-recorded puppet shows in the meantime if I can’t manage to draw for the next week. What do you think? XD

Yamino, if you have to make a choice; choose the freelance job. Work’s hard enough to get right now.
Woot first post! A puppet show would be awesome. I’m also glad to see you and your wrist are feeling better. Don’t want to loose that faithful appendage along with that awesome talent
DAngit! Fuzz beat me
Elena, you’ve gotten better. I really like what you’re working out lately!
Yamino, we’ll wait as long as we need to; you’re giving us an awesome story for free, so your physical safety is much more important than maintaining any schedule.
Also, you might look into getting a monitor that /doesn’t/ contain a portal to a fictional realm. It looks like the shock in that second panel might be even worse than tendinitis
Honey, concentrate on what earns a paycheck and contributes toward your well-being. We’ll be here…
I can understand the creative urge; just make sure you don’t cause further injury to your arm/wrist by doing too much too soon. You could always post some photos from your travels or some fan art to keep us interested while you continue healing. Another idea would be a Claire/Gabrielle/Snowy/Sister HatchetFace lookalike contest for us and our cats – NO drawing for you, lots of interest for your fans. You can come up with even better ideas than these, I’m sure!
get better yamino!! i are sad cuz the cubee craft links are broken so i cant make a claire or a gabrieal. sigh:( i was gona have them surounded by storm troopers for their “night out” LOL
Yeah, paychecks are good. Get those. We’ll wait up ^__^ But a puppet show would be amazing. Maybe April Fool’s Day?
A puppet show would be awsome, but you do need the money to work. If you have to, pick the freelance and possibly update less.
Get better soon Yamino! I wish I could have given you a nice get-well message, but I’ve been rather busy with community service (not from doing anything bad). Get well soon and make sure you do what you think is in your best interest given the circumstances.
Also, nice filler. Hot >.<
Jesse~
LMAO LMAO LMAO ROTFL HAHAHAHAHA XDDDD YOSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHH
Get better soon, a friend turned me on to this comic and I love it. Keep up the awesome work and good luck on your freelance gig! ^^
check out rsiguard.com for a useful app. I use it for years, it helps with rsi
Ahh Yamino, do you write your comic, or does your comic write YOU!!!
Keep resting, Yamino. <3 I'm very glad you're feeling better, but keeping healthy is the important thing. Love the puppet show idea though!
This little app has helped my carpal tunnel and rss… http://www.publicspace.net/MacBreakZ/
Twitter? I try not to feed the evil.
haaaawt.
that is all
Silly Gabrielle, vanity is a SIN. -.-
Yay, first (of my) comment(s). Yamino, go do freelance work. It’s not like we’re going anywhere. If we’re not offended by your take on religion, we’re not going to say “This is taking too long for an update, I’m leaving and never coming back.” Well, I’m not. I think.
I’ll make you cookies?
If the typing is worse than the drawing, then your typing environment also needs to be improved upon. Try to set things up so that your elbows are at 90 degrees and (most important) your wrists are straight when you type. If you use a laptop like in the drawing, get a separate keyboard that you can put in your lap when you’re at your desk. Better yet, if your desk has a keyboard shelf, use it. A wrist rest also helps. You can also adjust your finger positions on the keyboard to reduce stress a little further, try letting your middle and ring fingers sit on the top row (W, E, I, O) instead of the home row. Also or instead, if you can use them without significant frustration over the handful of weird key positions (I unfortunately can’t), look into one of the “ergonomic” keyboards; this is exactly the thing they’re designed for. Also, if you actually rest your wrists/palms on the keyboard’s built-in wrist rest (if it has one), don’t be afraid to add a little extra height . 3-5 mm worth of 3×5 index cards will change the angle enough to make a world of difference, and still leave the trackpad clear.
This keyboard should be compact enough to fit in your laptop bag with the computer. I use one with a Tablet PC: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0017K4FV2/
This one also looks promising. The two halves actually appear to be free-floating, so you can place them where they’re most comfortable. Only catch is there’s no trackpad, so you’ll need a mouse or a stand-alone trackpad or trackball: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016A0RLA/
I really do hope you get better! Puppets sound awesome… the bubble dudes would be so cute!
VERY IMPORTANT: especially right after a tendinitis flare-up (like you just had), Take FREQUENT breaks from drawing or typing, little breaks every few minutes to stretch and massage your arm, and longer breaks less frequently. You’ll probably need a reminder, because I’m sure your natural inclination is to work straight through pain, house fires, demonic cat possession, whatever.
Workrave is a great program to help remind you to take breaks, it’s free and has very cute sheep.

beware of angry angels @_@
)
(lol, it really looks like you, I like your self character
I wish that webcomic characters could actually do that.
As long as they’re not evil, that is.
Sister Claire is one of the four webcomics that I think are worth reading and worth waiting for.
The other three are/where made by S. Sakurai: Muertitos, GPCB, and Intragalactic (someone might say that S. Sakurai didn’t come up with Intragalactic, but rather Steph Cherrywell. To that someone I can only say that Steph Cherrywell is a sort of pseudonym).
I really like Sister Claire, and I wish that I could draw like that.
By the way, you can find me on deviantArt.
I use the same name there as here.
Take good care of your wrist.
Dont kill your hands just to get the comic done in time… its good enough to wait for ^^
hugs from a concerned fan :3
Hey Yamino…has anyone suggested kinesio taping for you tendonitis? I use it on my feet when the fascia and tendons get inflamed, and it helps a lot. Immediate relief, in fact. It is kind of like athletic taping, but with a special adhesive tape, applied according to eastern medicine practices. It is used a lot by athletes (esp in the olympics) and was invented by a Japanese physician. Google it!
BTW, love your comic! You’re so talented, and have a wonderful sense of humor!
awwww! all it takes is an angel!
Puppet shows are made of win and felt.
Congrats on the job offer, go go goooo for it! Also, I dig puppet shows *nods head in approval* Good times!
Um, I have er…tendonitis too! so uhhh, Gabrielle can give me kisses too? …you know, to get well and um….such…. xD
Hope you continue to feel better <3
I have to agree with the work people–concentrate on that! Hope you feel better, really excited for the next chapter!
~Windup
Cute! You interacting with your own creations ^_^
A puppet show sounds kind of neat, but you’d better not do a sing-along. I still have “Snape, Snape, Snape, Severus Snape (with Dumbledore!)” stuck in my head and I only watched it for a few seconds. Ugh, it’s now playing in my head even as I type….
As others are saying, take care of yourself first!
I also, er, love this page so much. You just emote so wonderfully! (I think I’m also a sucker for that “hand of the artist” feel you get with the informal line drawing.)
No worries, my fellow lefty artist! Health and wealth, as the blessings go! I love your comic, especially all the references you put into the background art! Update less if you must, your true fans will always support you!
hope you get better, also, that jeff, i just got that stupid song OUT of my head. grrr
Saw this link and thought of you. http://www.scatoday.net/node/13998 Safe for work, truly- and you’ll want to follow the link at the bottom to get to the original article. Take care of that wrist, and if typing makes it worse — well, that almost sounds like you need a different configuration of keyboard. Do you use a standard rectangular job? or one of the “Broken” ones? Might be worth it to try one and see if that eases the pressure. And Gleef is right with the’ taking breaks’ thing. Take care!
a puppet show sounds great!
Paychecks are awesome…they pay bills! And I think most of us here would enjoy a puppet show! Glad to hear you are feeling better!
NO ELENAI DON’T CARE ABOUT WAITING DON’T LET YOUR ARM FALL OFF
Sorry to hear you’re not well, Yamino! I hope you get well soon… and I’m another one of those who’d rather wait through a hiatus than have you making yourself worse… Couldn’t someone take pity on you and do a guest strip or three if you’re worried about retaining your readership? (Though most, if not all, sound pretty loyal to you anyway…) *hugs* Mark
Gah… I write that comment, and *then* I notice your note about guest strips at the top of the page *thumps head against table*
o.o
ok, had i seen this first….
I AM SORRY but I still think you look like a boy please forgive meee~
Jester, you poor ignorant fool.
All-female cast, gratuitous suggestive themes between said cast? Boyish hair?
You haven’t made the connections?
It’s one of god’s cruel jokes against straight guys.
I always thought you were a girl.
And I always thought Gabrielle was a man.
The “Boner-Stylus” in the bottom panel made me laugh. Nice touch.
