Claire’s alarm clock is a really subtle reference to a a movie- although the song it sings isn’t the same. This a slightly modified version of a very old song my mom used to sing to me to wake me up as a baby. Her father (my grandpa) used to sing it to her. I tracked it down online through the few broken lyrics I could remember, and found the original here: http://www.kididdles.com/lyrics/g018.html

I had so much fun drawing this. I love Claire’s cell. (yes, that’s what nun’s rooms are actually called!) She’s really made a cute little space for herself in the otherwise dreary space… and look what she’s got hidden under her bed! “Learning Lolcat,” “Battle Pope,” and “Sister Act: Box Set.” XD
For those of you who browse the forums and/or recall the last page showing Claire’s room, you may be pleased to see the return of Hello Pussy! The other Powerpuff character there is an original PPG I made up over 8 years ago. It’s sort of a stupid inside joke with myself. XD
