WOO! PAGE 100! This is a big milestone. I should have some kind of celebration when I get home. <3
Meanwhile, flustered Claire is fun to draw!

More Sister Claire artwork, drawn in the styles that inspired me!
Gabrielle-Arthur de Pins Style by ~Yamino on deviantART
Arthur de Pins is an illustrator I learned about when I moved here to Belgium. The first trip I made to a Belgian comic store, I bought all of his books. =P He’s most famous for his series called “Pêches Mignons”:

It’s a play on words, because “pêche” can either mean “peach” or “sin.” XD I love styles that can mix cuteness and sexyness together, so naturally he rapidly became of my favorite artists.
This whole image was made in Illustrator, just like his work is. I can’t believe how freaking LONG it took. If course, I did have to teach myself some tricks which I never knew how to use before, like masking. It was surprisingly easy once I figured out how to do it, just very time consuming. I can’t imagine how he makes so much artwork this way! The upside is, now I have a vector file that I can scale to any size! I think I’ll put this in large format on my wall eventually. XD

You knew this was coming, right!? XD
Not much to add to this… the picture pretty much says it all. I have always been a huge PPG fan, and I’m pretty sure it’s influenced every comic I’ve made. This show was what inspired my first ever comic! It was a PPG fancomic, with two Mary Sue characters (one was a self-insert, Brownie, who makes a few cameos in Sister Claire!) and the other was my brother, “Bruiser.” Oh man, highschool times was crazy times…
And happy birthday to me!
Seeing as it’s my birthday, and my wrist is killing me, I think Monday’s page may be slight late. I apologize for the delay, and I hope this tides you over till then. XD Now, excuse me, I have some pumpkin pie to eat!
This page had more layers of color effects than you could possibly imagine. O_O I also managed to work some more subtle references in there. XD I’ll point two out, just so you can compare what they look like. One is Claire’s dress, it’s what Maria wore to the ball in the Sound of Music: (click for full size)
The other is Claire’s camera, (which we’ll see more of later) which is an ancient old Polaroid 1000 from 1977. The nuns don’t exactly keep up on latest technologies. XD

In my previous post, I showed the sketch for my Webcomics Tarot submission. Now, eet is finished! Click for fullsize:
And she’s off to save the day, or so we hope! But what’s happening with the other nuns in the meanwhile?
I really hope someone gets the inside joke in her last line, because if you don’t, it’ll just seem really weird…
The next page will be posted soon, but I probably won’t be able to make it for Monday due to graduation preparations. I’ll try to get the next page up by Monday evening or early Tuesday.
This should tide you over till then. Be nice to your mom today! =)
Edit: I got a last-minute wonderful opportunity to speak to some big shots in the art industry! Unfortunately for you, my readers, I won’t be able to post the next page today. Look for the next page this Thursday!
What is it with the Bubble Boys and toilet humor? I guess that’s their style… Then again, maybe this was inspired by my recent food poisoning. XD And thus, Claire recieves her Divine Weapon! Let’s hope it comes in handy…
So, apparently the Bubble Boys do have some use! But what’s with Gabrielle’s easygoing attitude? She seems a little too confident in Claire’s abilities… or does she know more than she’s letting on?
Wham, bam, thank-you-maa’m? Gabrielle is just in and out again. Well, what can you expect, she’s the Head of Human relations! You don’t have long to sit around and chat with an important job like that. And what’s this about a curse? Oh dear… this might explain a few things, Claire.
