Ok, so some of you may be wondering what all these finals were that were taking me so long!  At long last you can see what I was working on all this time.

Comics Painting: 4 Page Mixed Media project

I had to make a 4 page comic using mixed media… meaning more than just paint.  I really went all out on this, even cutting off some of my own hair. (Hell, I needed a haircut anyway.)  Some other materials used in this were the inside of an apple chip bag, plaster wrap for making casts, paper towels, cotton, papier-mâché, ink, watercolor, colored pencils, and acrylic.

Here are two other painted comics I did for the same class.  This one was mostly scripted: A man with a briefcase walks through a field of wheat, surrounded by black birds.  He finds a barn, heads towards it, opens that door, and… we got to decide what was inside.  We were also limited to only 5 acrylic colors specified by the teacher.

This next two page comic was also mostly scripted for us.  A couple (any type) are walking down a post apocalyptic beach, when one of them decides to check out a cave while the other one waits outside.  Character A goes in, Character B hears a scream, Character A comes running out… and again, we get to decide what was inside.  Sadly, I never got to finish this watercolor project, but I think I like these characters enough to include them in another story. =)

Other painting work I did this quarter:

This is a painting with a Little Red Riding Hood theme that I made for my Water Based media class.  Unfortunately, the photo quality isn’t that great.  The innuendo was accidental at first, but once I saw it there I had to play it up.  If she reminds you of someone, you may recall a blind character I posted some digital paintings of before, Sofie Thorne. That’s who I modeled her after. =)

And this was my first watercolor project, a still life which I photographed myself using miscellaneous things on my desk. =)

I thought you might find it interesting to see what I’m doing when I’m not working on Sister Claire. XD  I don’t know if I developed a real taste for painting, but at least I’m over my phobia of it now.
