Preview

I’m getting up at 8am tomorrow to blaze through it with my professor and get it online. Then, I have to see my academic advisor to have him review my resume, then I have to go print off business cards, then I have a 2 and a half hour class (which I intend to use for working on the next page!) and then I have a late dinner. WHOO.

My schedule lately

A lot of you have noticed that I’ve had a very hard time keeping up with the update schedule lately.  I thought I’d let you know why.  I’m a graduating senior, and in two weeks I am not only completely finished with college, but I am also making an international move to Brussels, Belgium.  Many of you don’t see all the work I do outside of Sister Claire, but a peek at my deviantart page might give you a hint as to just how MANY projects I am working on at any given time.

This is an average day for me:  Wake up at 9, eat a small breakfast, work on homework/Sister Claire until my first class, then walk 20 minutes across town with my computer to my second class.  My second classes end at 7:30, so I arrive home about 8pm, and eat like a starved person. Then, if I don’t have too much homework or packing to do for my move, I will stay up late to try to finish my next Sister Claire page. Incidentally, each page takes an average of 6-8 hours, so this means up usually up quite late.

And god forbid I want to hang out with my friends, or SLEEP, because this past month I hardly even had the time to spend with my family, who came to visit me all the way from Belgium.

This is not an excuse, because I can completely understand the disappointment when you come here and find just another preview.  I really apologise, and I hope you believe me that I am not doing this because I’m lazy, I’m just very overworked and overstressed with graduation stuff/moving.  I give you previews because I don’t want to leave you with nothing at all.  Once my move to Belgium is final, updates will be very regular, I promise. =)

Donations and Site changes

You may have noticed I added a donation bar up at the top!  I’m not really expecting anyone to donate right now, since I haven’t been around all that long yet.  However, I do plan to add some donation incentive in the next few weeks, by offering some wallpapers/drawings.

Also, due to some emails I recieved I’ve decided to take the flags off the the other language version links.    I’m sure many of you are still wondering when these are going to be updated.  I wish I could tell you, but right now my priority is getting the comic finished on schedule, which is hard as it is. XD;;

If there is anyone reading this who knows who has a basic knowledge of Photoshop and would like to help me put the translated text onto the English pages, I’d be very grateful for your help!  In fact, I’ll even throw in a free drawing of your favorite character. =)

That aside, I’m also trying to finish editing a lengthy tutorial video on how I draw my pages, from sketch to vector lineart.  The coloring will be in the next tutorial. =)

FORUM IS GO! CONCEPT ART IS GO! And a fanart!

First of all, look what Tanukitsune made for me!

Isn’t it adorable!?  He does some really interesting and random pixelated animations over at  Pixel Pandemonium, including evil animated desserts and kitty burgers!  It’s so cute, you might NOT be able to resist eating pussy (although Claire might never forgive you!)

And now, for the grand unveiling of…..

Finally, you guys can interact outside of just the comment section.  And hopefully I can better communicate with you, too. =)

Progress on French and Spanish translations, and some Unicorns.

First off, let me begin this post with something cheerful, because I’ve been having a bad day:

And about the translations: As you can see, I’ve posted a new link to soon-to-be Spanish page. I have several very kind and generous volunteers helping me with both language versions, so the only real obstacle left is dedicating time to putting the translated text onto the pages. I may need to recruit someone else to do it, although ideally I’d like to do it myself. I’ll do my best. =)

Another Update Change

Ok, I’ve had enough of your grumbling, I’m changing it to two pages a week. Sister Claire now updates Mondays AND Thursdays!  XD

 Actually, I never liked the idea of posting just once a week either, it seems like much too long, especially after freaking out and doing a page a day.   Hopefully I’ll be able to manage two pages a week depending on my schoolwork schedule.  I’ll do my best, but if my grades/health start slipping, I’ll have to lower it back to just Modays. But for now, IT’S GO TIME!

Cast Page Update

I added Sister Marguerite’s profile, and changed the picture for Catharine.  Although I liked Catharine’s old profile picture, it didn’t reflect the changes in her design.  I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but lately I’ve gotten a bit experimental with her design, it’s getting to sort of an amorphous stage.  That’s what happens when you try to make last minute changes… Well, I think I’m getting there!
