…and we now know that there is just cause for the dislike. Maybe this will herald a long overdue re-appearance of Gabrielle, but to the entire convent this time; with a nod and wink to Mother Superior Yoda to acknowledge a truly ancient friendship?
Ah, yes, the “jury”…
Honestly, I’m thinking that Catharine still has some kind of residual influence from the cat, and is still a hostile witch, and is therefore trying to smear what little good name Marguerite has left and pin all the harm that has come to be on the older nun. For all we know, ol’ Marge probably caught the vibes of Cat being a witch and therefore acted on it, though she wasn’t able to do anything so drastic as this until she’d acquired solid evidence that there was indeed a witch among them.
It kind of reminds me of World War II and the veterans thereof; when we were busy fighting Nazis, anyone who was German was treated like they were some kind of interior spy, even the children, and even then when those people had specifically moved from Germany to get out of that shithole. The same thing followed for the Japanese later on, being treated even worse not only by being thrown in the camps, but also being discriminated against on the premises that they weren’t white. Honestly, I think that the war had scarred Marguerite’s sanity and made her see everything as a potential enemy, as I’ve met World War II veterans who could not look at someone with blond hair and blue eyes or who was East Asian without being so on the edge of their nerves that the only reason they didn’t dive at them was because the veteran was far too old to have been able to do anything like that without, according to their own suspicions, dying themselves and being wasted. I assume Marguerite feels the same way, and therefore attempts to drive Catharine from the monastery without being so harsh as to outright kill her, and then take advantage of their court to be able to confirm her suspicions and get who she perceived as a witch all along offed, and done so righteously.
It almost can’t be Margheruite though, at least in my opinion, just seems like she’s the obvious choice for picking out who’s evil… I think you’ve got something up your sleeve Yamino!
Maybe she just has Munchausen syndrome by proxy?
Then she’d probably be shooting up Claire and also trying to fix her.
Now, heres where we have a conundrum. It’s easy for someone to assume that Person A.) (Margaurite) is evil when she is unpleasent to be around.

i bet she either IS the witch, OR, she’s trying to show Marg that its easy to twist a person’s actions and behavior around to make her look evil and sinister even if she’s totally innocent.
yep it is, i think we will see her flip out even more i am still betting margo will in fact make grim come out and shut her up to throw them off track, i wonder what time it is remember the curse starts at night
If Catherine’s doing the latter, this is a pretty smart way to go when you don’t have much on your side and a good way to show how extreme witch-hunting is incredibly dangerous.

Marguerite is just… too obvious. Personally my pet theory is that all or at least the senior nuns are actually “reformed” witches, perhaps between nuns and witches one was a splinter group from the other from the beginning… In that case Sister Sadist likely would be one but her actions are more likely driven more by paranoia of the “real” witchcraft returning. At least that’s my pet theory for now.
Also, I wonder if it could be the Cat’o'Evil talking, we didn’t really see Catherine exorcised at any point far as I remember and while she doesn’t show the signs of possession maybe it can cover those up if it really wants to…

I love the “small elite team” sneaked in there.
I’m gonna call it right now; Catherine really is a Witch.
However, I do not believe she is as wicked as those the sisters fought against in their Holy War. IT’s rather obvious that Yamino is trying to paint the face that Nun-Fu and Witchcraft are the same. Who’s to say Catherine doesn’t know a bit of both like the twins do?
