Thanks to everyone who joined the livestream while I drew this page!
Since it was late anyway, I took a bit longer on it to really perfect the lighting and composition. This is a pretty important scene, after all. Have you noticed the color symbolism? Whenever a character is dominating a scene, so does their “character color.” In this case, Claire is making an important decision, and it also happens to be late evening- so the color orange is very dominant in the color palette. The shadows are pink/magenta, which is the color associated with Catharine.
Also, check out the new cats! I designed them at Abunaicon. Their designs are based on a panda and a husky. =)

Panda Kitty looks so depressed i guess they didn’t have time to eat breakfest before leaving. Super cat looks like he is out for vengeance. Snowflake if that is the right name for the white one looks determined i forgot it has been while since the cats have made a appearance.

What I find more adorable than the cats is the fact she has kitty backpacks for them!
man, that’s so artistic.. even if I ever paid attention to lighting I’d just be trying to accurately represent what it’d look like if there was a camera in the room, not symbolism.. So artistical..

How come this chapter has been so much longer than all the other chapters? I’ve been following this since you posted page 99 (~Good morning Clementine, how did you wake so soon?~) and lately I’ve noticed that chapter 6 is extremely long in relation to the length of the other chapters.
It’s not a complaint, I mean, the story is as long as it needs to be and chapter breaks don’t really mean too much. I was just noticing it and I was curious. Or maybe it’s just me who thinks this?
I love it when comics can portray so much without one word of dialogue. Having a comic means pictures and words need to work together, and sometimes that means letting one step aside so the other can shine.
