I’m gonna feel like this when I get up tomorrow, after staying up till 4am on Easter to get this page done on time! XD
Claire’s alarm clock is a really subtle reference to a a movie- although the song it sings isn’t the same. This a slightly modified version of a very old song my mom used to sing to me to wake me up as a baby. Her father (my grandpa) used to sing it to her. I tracked it down online through the few broken lyrics I could remember, and found the original here: http://www.kididdles.com/lyrics/g018.html
I’m curious to know if anyone else knows this song. =)

Everybody was Nun-Fu-Fighting! *Dananana na na na na naaa~* Nunchucks, swords and even biting, HUA. To be honest it was a little bit frightening! *Dananana na na na na naaa~* Though Sister Marguerite was exciting. HUA.
LMAO to Yusuke
oh Yamino btw it should be “an underwater party”, it reads “an”. but that’s ok, you’re tired, get some sleep first before you go correcting it, we dont want Sister Claire to run you down. And Hello Pussy is sooooo cuuute!
Oh, thank god it was only a dream. XD
(If only the bubble boy wasn’t there… So close…)
LoL I saw that alarm clock, and immediately thought “SISTER ACT!!!!”
So excited about this chapter!
So this entire comic was a dream.
FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Haha
Also, I know the song, but I don’t remember it being sung quite that way… The one I knew was this: http://music.barnesandnoble.com/search/product.asp?r=1&ean=787364012329 (#50 on Disc 2)
*Nun-Fu-Ruler-Smack-On-Head!* “Wake up, Claire! Time for today’s training!!”
First thing I thought when I saw the alarm clock was SISTER ACT! I love that movie, haha! Sister Mary Robert was totally my favorite, and I love Maggie Smith and Whoppi!
Oh my, that 4th panel is so adorable, it makes me wanna hug someone, preferrably Claire :3
I really hope this is just a result of Gabrielle being amazing and getting her home.
I don’t know the song, but I know the Sister Act clock!
I wanted one when I was younger, I thought it was so cute!
My dad would sing: “Good morning Mari sunshine, how did you wake so soon? You used to wake at ten o’clock and now you wake at noon!” I think the original version had ‘Mary’ and ‘one o’clock’ and my dad was just being silly, but that’s really funny that you know that song too.
It’s not all a dream, Claire…….. the Bubble Boy is still there, and that PPG is holding a pregnancy test………. and I think it probably says that you’re still preggo…….. Also, it wouldn’t surprise me if the way things are going for her that she advanced along a little bit and it now might be more obvious to everyone of her ‘condition’………
Out of bed you daisy head!
Actually, from what I can tel of the lyrics, it sounds like “A diller, a dollar”, which went like this. “A diller, a dollar, a twelve o’clock scholar. What makes you come home so soon? You used to come home at 12 o’clock, but now you come home at noon.” Haven’t recited that in many years. Thanks for recalling those memories, Yamino.
Hmm, this is unexpected
Man, someone beat me to the Nun-Fu Fighting gag, and did it better!
oo oo ! i can guess this is gonna end with claire…. well, screaming!
eeehehehe
so cuuute
Oh man, this incredibly bittersweet page does not bode well, especially with the cover for this chapter in mind…
…I completely misread “underwater party” as “underWEAR party”, and then puzzled for far too long over whether it was a Chowder reference, and, if so, why I didn’t see Mr. Fugu in attendance. Good job, me! S-sigh.
Dirka, I’d think with your avatar, you’d love panel 3 too…only one thing wrong with this picture: nobody’s come to find out where Sr. Claire was during Morning Prayer and Breakfast…
The dolls name is Pussy?
Damn, I could make so many immature jokes right now
I watched Sister Act, but I don’t remember a daisy clock.
Anyone wanna link me?
Mwahaha

“Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting
Those kicks were fast as lightning
In fact, it was a little bit frightening
But they fought with expert timing”
I do know this song. My mother also sang this to me often. Though I remember it more when she did it when I was a teenager…with a dose of mocking my zombie like state in the morning.
I think I may have heard that song before; maybe my grandfather used to sing it. I definitely recognize the clock, though!
Heeheee, Sister Act… Sister Mary Roberts was a lot like Sister Claire, in that she was quiet and sweet.
EVERYBODY WAS NUN-FU FIGHTIIIIIING!
Shee-it.
I just realized that it’s singing ‘Clementine.’
Like the nickname that Sister Cat used. DX
I don’t know the song, but is this a reference to Sister Act? lol
Gosh, Claire sure likes her Pussy…
nice use of ponies.
TYPO ALERT PANEL 5 “and went to AN underwater party” Also, the first u in underwater is un-bolded.
Love the comic!
