I’m really quite nervous about this application now. I don’t know if I have any chance at all of getting the job, maybe I’m wasting a lot of time by putting off my webcomic and other projects to make this portfolio. T_T It’s a HIGHLY competitive position, and I don’t even have any experience. But I’ll hate myself forever if I don’t at least TRY. >8O
Go for it! The only way this time could be a waste is if you spent it staring at a wall. Even then, I’m guessing you’d think up SOMETHING useful.

You seem very talented, and i wish you the best, but may I offer a little constructive criticism? Being a New Zealand citizen, I know that the Maori are very sensitive to the use of their names, tattoos, dress, hakas, etc without permission. I don’t mean like your wonderful drawing here, but if it were to become a character in the upcoming avatar project, they may take offense. It seems silly, but a few years back the Maori people sued Lego for their “bionicle” toy line, because they used Maori names. I also know that the tattoos are protected under copyright. That being said, I would love to see a Maori inspired character or tribe in avatar.
